Welcome to the web site of Andrew Arbuckle MSP

As someone who was brought up and worked on the family farm and who then moved into journalism for 15 years, I have a background of work outside politics before becoming an MSP. This background may put me in a minority in Holyrood but I hope the wider base allows me to bring a better perspective to issues coming up for debate and decision.

It is my intention to not only keep my outside contacts but strengthen them so that I will continue to have an understanding of the many problems facing people. I am continuing until the May 2007 election as a local councillor for Newburgh and Tay coast as this helps keep “my feet on the ground.”

I am not a professional politician merely someone who became involved in helping people tackle local worries. My work as an MSP is largely an extension of that. The main difference is I am now dealing with more complex problems.
